The harness we write ourselves.
ulb-harnais installs in one command and tells every repo the moment it falls behind the company socle — built and kept by our own maintainers, not a vendor.
One socle, built in-house.
A small group of maintainers owns the common base every repo starts from. It is mandatory for everyone on Claude Code — the one thing we do not let drift, whatever the project.
Install it in one command
No setup doc to follow, no config to hand-copy. Run it from any repo and the socle lands.
$ npx ulb-harnais install
→ reading company socle…
→ socle v1.14.0 found, repo is 3 versions behind
→ installing front module
→ installing data module
✓ socle up to date
✓ 2 modules installed
How it keeps every repo current
Check
Every run, ulb-harnais compares your repo against the current version of the socle.
Alert
If you have fallen behind, it says so plainly in the terminal, before you write another line.
Sample
⚠ repo is 3 versions behind the socle
Update
Pull the latest socle and only the modules your project actually uses.
Pick your modules
The socle is mandatory. Everything past it is optional, chosen by the kind of project you are running.
Front
For projects that ship UI.
Back
For services and APIs.
Data
For pipelines and warehouses.
And so on
New kinds get added as teams need them.
Built for everyone, kept by a few
Starting with one pilot team, rolling out to the rest of the company.
Socle
One common base, mandatory for every repo on Claude Code.
Modules
Optional add-ons, chosen per kind of project — front, back, data and so on.
Maintainers
A handful of people keep the socle current, for 50+ developers across teams.
